Cardiac Rehabilitation

Our cardiac rehabilitation program is a medically supervised program to help individuals with heart disease recover faster and return to a full and productive life. It is an individualized program of exercise, education and counseling to help participant begin heart healthy living.

Programs usually last for 36 sessions or 3 months. The program includes cardiovascular conditioning exercise, which includes warm-ups, and cool-downs, plus and intensive exercise workout on treadmills, bikes, rowers, nustep, and multi-gym. A weekly education session on heart healthy topics is offered to patients and family members. Sessions include such topics as diet management of heart disease, weight control, smoking cessation , exercise, cardiac medication, and stress reduction. Psychological and nutritional counseling are available in addition to the support of the rehabilitation group.
