Our residents have access to a variety of services. ECU contracts with an outside pharmacy to provide safe medication management. A full service dietary department works closely with the Registered Dietician and residents to meet their individual dietary needs. A personal laundry service can be provided as well as an outside linen service. Additional amenities furnished include television, phone and local phone service, fully electric hospital beds, and state of the art call bell/wander guard system. Other optional amenities are beauty and barbershop services and a licensed manicure service.

ECU offers an exciting daily activity program. Residents enjoy games, crafts, reminiscing, special events, music and spiritual programs. Monthly outings are coordinated with the use of Person County's transportation service (PATS). Family participation and support are welcomed. Pre-approved pet visitation is encouraged.

An interdisciplinary Care Planning team works with the residents and family to provide an individualized treatment plan. Our caring and dedicated staff works hard to provide a nurturing, home-like environment.

COVID-19 Information

Person Memorial Hospital is committed to protecting the health and safety of everyone who walks through our doors. We are continuing to work closely with the NCDHHS and follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ensure the safety of our patients and staff members. We strictly follow all appropriate guidance for the notification of patients and their families in the event of a positive case among our staff members or among our residents and have established regular updates with our residents’ family representatives, in accordance with guidelines recently released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

In addition to our standard infection prevention protocols, we have proactively implemented additional safety precautions over the last several months, including:

Limited entry points to the facility:

  • Masking for all staff members;
  • Required screenings for fever and other symptoms of COVID-19 for everyone entering the facility.
  • Testing all new residents prior to admission;
  • Regularly testing all patients and staff members;
  • Additional facility-specific proactive measures

We have been routinely monitoring all residents for symptoms of COVID-19 and require testing for every new resident prior to admission.

Our residents are like family to us, and protecting their safety and well being while maintaining open lines of communication with their loved ones is our top priority. We are proud to serve the Roxboro and Person County community. Find more information about COVID-19.
