Person Memorial Hospital is proud to announce that its 2026 Mercy Award recipient, Lannitt Clauden, has been selected as one of 50 finalists for the national companywide Mercy Award — one of the organization’s highest honors.

The Mercy Award selection committee reviewed an extraordinary group of local recipients from across the country, narrowing the field to a distinguished group of finalists who exemplify compassion, dedication and service. Clauden was chosen to represent Person Memorial Hospital among this elite group.

As a finalist, Clauden will be invited, along with a guest, to attend the annual Mercy Award celebration in Nashville, Tennessee, in September, where finalists will be recognized for their remarkable contributions to their communities and healthcare organizations.

“Lannitt represents the heart and soul of Person Memorial Hospital through a steadfast commitment to caring for others,” said Bert Beard, CEO of Maria Parham Health and Person Memorial Hospital. “This recognition is a reflection of the compassion and dedication demonstrated every day. We are incredibly proud to see Lannitt honored among this outstanding group of finalists.”

The Mercy Award honors individuals across Lifepoint Health facilities who go above and beyond in living out the organization’s mission of making communities healthier. Finalists are selected for their exceptional service, leadership and positive impact on others.

Person Memorial Hospital congratulates Lannitt Clauden on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to celebrating these accomplishments on a national stage this fall.
