Person Memorial Hospital kicked off its annual Super Bowl celebration with a spirited team event that brought employees together for a chili cook-off, tailgate-style food and football on the big screen.

The celebration featured a variety of classic game-day favorites and a friendly chili cook-off that added a competitive—and flavorful—element to the event. Team members gathered to sample entries and take part in judging, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and fun.

“Events like this are about more than football or food—they’re about bringing our team together and recognizing the people who make this hospital a great place to work,” said Bert Beard, market chief executive officer. “Strong teamwork and a positive culture are essential to providing excellent care for our patients, and this celebration was a great example of that.”

The chili cook-off winner was Tim Van Hook of the Dietary Team, whose entry earned top honors. Van Hook received a new crock pot as the first-place prize.
