- Radiology and Lab will continue with a no visitor policy to limit possible exposure within the facility.
- ECU will also continue with a no visitor policy per CDC and state guidelines.
- COVID-19 confirmed patients, patients suspicious for COVID-19, and patients on isolation precautions will not be allowed visitors for the safety of the visitors.
- The one designated visitor will be the only allowed for the duration of the patient visit. Visitors must show photo identification prior to entering the building.
- Waiting rooms will remain closed; therefore, if a visitor must wait, for example during surgery, they must wait in their car.
- All visitors, with the exception of the Emergency Department, must enter through the main front entrance. All visitors must successfully complete a COVID-19 screening prior to entering.
- All visitors must wear a face mask or covering the entire duration of their visit. Visitors must supply their own face mask or covering. Due to limited quantities of face masks for healthcare providers and patients, PMH will be unable to provide face masks for visitors to ensure the continued protection of patients and staff.
- Visitors must be at least 18 years of age. Visitors over the age of 65, pregnant, or immunocompromised are strongly discouraged from visiting.
We will continue to monitor the CDC and North Carolina Health Department guidelines on visitation based on the current spread of COVID-19 within our area, region, and state. While understanding the importance of visitation for the emotional well-being of our patients, their families, and community, our main goal is for the safety of our patients and staff. Therefore, visitation is subject to change as rapidly as this pandemic evolves and guidelines change.
