In order to protect our patients, their visitors and our staff, the following visitation policy will remain in effect until the end of flu season.

  • Visitors with flu-like symptoms are asked to not come to the hospital to visit. Symptoms may include, but are not limited to:
    • Fever greater than 100 F.
    • Cough
    • Sore throat
    • Nasal Congestion
  • During Flu Season, visitors under the age of 18 are not allowed in the hospital without express permission of nursing management.
    • Exception: Visitors under the age of 18 who are NOT exhibiting any flu-like symptoms may visit family-member residents on the Extended Care Unit, but are not allowed to go elsewhere in the hospital.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at all entrances. Person Memorial Hospital is asking all visitors to sanitize hands before entering our facility.
  • Visitors at the hospital with flu-like symptoms will be given a mask to wear and asked to leave.
  • Masks, tissues and hand sanitizers will be provided to infectious patients at the entrances of the hospital.

Person Memorial Hospital wishes to thank the community in advance for its cooperation with these efforts to minimize the local impact of the current flu outbreak.
