Person Memorial Hospital’s newly renovated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has six private rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, and a low nurse-to-patient ratio. The unit is a specialized department serving critically ill patients who need comprehensive care and continuous monitoring by highly skilled staff members. The ICU is designed to provide patient-centered care based on individual needs and preferences. The hospital encourages family involvement through open visitation and participation in care decisions.
A nurse who will quickly access the patient’s needs and gather basic information will greet patients entering the hospital’s new Emergency Department. The department now operates two separate wings enabling lower acuity patients to be treated and discharged in a more efficient and timely manner. Higher acuity patients requiring more in-depth observation and treatment are further evaluated and a treatment plan is initiated. The Emergency Department has sixteen beds, triage rooms, a dedicated trauma room, and a dedicated cardiac room.
The hospital now offers four fully digital Surgical Suites with completely renovated operating rooms to accommodate patients and to offer the best possible surgical experience. Family members of surgical patients wait in a brand new, comfortable, convenient family waiting area and can discuss surgical outcomes in a private consultation room. Outpatient surgical patients also have a private exit and pick-up area.
The renovated Specialty Clinic is designed to provide comfort, privacy, and convenience. Facilities include a chemotherapy area, six exam rooms and easy access. The Laboratory has also been expanded and upgraded to meet current and future needs of physicians and patients.
