Jasmine Singh, MD - Internal Medicine

Dr. Jasmine Singh was born and raised in India. She completed her initial medical training at the University of Delhi, Lady Hardinge Medical College. Her Internal Medicine residency was completed at State University of New York, Stony Brook. For the last 13 years, Dr. Singh has practiced Internal Medicine in Westmont and Chicago, Illinois. Dr Singh served as an appointed member of the Governor's Council of Health and Physical Fitness. She led community based activities as medical provider at immunization camps and health fairs promoting exercise and good nutrition. She was the hostess of a TV serial on health related issues, "U in Focus", an educational program to promote health awareness and encourage lifestyle modifications for healthier living. She was actively involved in medical education as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She was a Preceptor and Mentor for medical students from Rush Medical College, Rush University Medical Center. She was involved in research studies looking at gender differences among patients with weak heart muscles enrolled in DEFINITE (Defibrillators in Non-ischemic Cardiomyopathy) trial.

Dr. Singh is the first Internal Medicine physician employed by Person Memorial Hospital. She began seeing patients in her Roxboro office, located at 601 Ridge Road (the former Duke Orthopedics office), on June 17, 2011.  We feel very fortunate to have found a physician that is dedicated to providing a high quality of medical care to the citizens of Person County. Dr Singh's philosophy is to focus on the individual patient and not just the management of disease. She likes to listen to the patient and customize the treatment to the patient's needs and lifestyle.

Dr. Singh is married with two daughters, 11 yr and 8 yrs old. She enjoys spending leisure time with family, reading, listening to music, hiking and water sports.
